Funding Results
The CMF provided $358 million to Canadian television and digital media projects in 2011-2012, a six percent increase, from the previous fiscal year. This investment triggered a record-breaking $1.3 billion in activity in Canada’s creative economy.
Experimental Stream
90 experimental projects90 innovative projects were selected, and received $32.9 million in funding.
Convergent Stream
509 convergent projects$312.5 million in funding for the production of 509 convergent projects, generating more than 2,800 hours of new content.
Program Administration
10% more applications1,298 applications were approved for funding, an increase of just over 10% from the previous year.
